SPIRITUAL DIARY
‘Spiritual Diary’, as the name suggests, contains an inspirational thought for each day of the year. The quotes are primarily of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda (1893-1952), the great guru whose teachings on Kriya Yoga and the art of right living are followed by millions worldwide.
Included in this video are some quotations of Paramahansaji and of other great gurus of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India/Self-Realisation Fellowship line of Masters.
“I Prostate Myself Before The Guru”, an ancient vedic hymn, has been chosen as the background score for this video. Sung by Jaya Vidyasagar in her scintillating voice, the hymn is in Sanskrit, language of the Vedas.
The Second Coming of CHRIST
This is a video of the Bible commentary written by Sri Sri Paramahansa Yoganandaji. The video contains pictures from the book, plus some other pictures from the life of Lord Jesus.
The background music is the chant, 'O My Cloud Coloured Christ Come', sung in the ORIGINAL voice of Paramahansaji.
Included in this video are clips from the movie, 'The Life of Jesus'. Famous actor Henry Ian Cusick plays the role of Jesus whereas Christopher Plummer provides the voice-over narration. The movie was shown at the 2003 Toronto Film festival under the title, 'The Gospel of John'.
Shrimad Devi Bhagwat Mahapurana
The ancient Hindu scripture of Srimad Devi Bhagwat Mahapurana was composed by the great sage, Ved Vyasa. It contains stories related to the Supreme Devi, the Primal Power in creation.
This video contains pictures around the most popular story of the scripture - destruction of the demon Mahishasura by the devi. There are other pictures as well of the Adi Shakti and of Her various avatars.
The background music is a combination of three Sanskrit chants:
Rajrajeshwari Ashtakam, Mahishasurmardini Stotram & Durga Sooktam.
These have been sung by Uma Mohan - the diva of Sanskrit devotional music, especially vedic hymns - and set to some scintillating music composed by Uma herself.
